Srinagar, March 16 (CNI I): The Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India on Saturday declared four factions of the Jammu and Kashmir People’s League as illegal organizations under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967.

 

Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (Muhammad Yasin Malik Faction)

as an ‘unlawful association’ with immediate effect under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.

 

In a notification, the MHA declared People’s League (Mukhtar Ahmad Waza), People’s League (Bashir Ahmad Tota), People’s League (Ghulam Ahmad Khan Sopoori) and People’s League (Sheikh Aziz) as illegal associations under UAPA.

 

The Modi government has declared the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (Muhammad Yasin Malik faction) an ‘unlawful association’ for another five years, Amit Shah wrote on social media platform X, officially known as Twitter. .

 

This banned organization is engaged in activities fueling terrorism and separatism in Jammu and Kashmir. Anyone found challenging the security, sovereignty and integrity of the country will face severe legal consequences.CNI
