23rd Sub Junior UT Kabaddi Championship for Boys & Girls from 15th to 17th of March 2025 declared open

Mr. Rayees Mohammad Bhat IPS, DIG Udhampur/ Reasi Range declared open 23rd Sub-Junior UT Kabaddi Championship for Boys & Girls being organized by J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association under the aegis of J&K Sports Council at Indoor Sports Complex Subash Stadium Udhampur. While Sh. Sandeep Bhat JKPS Additional Superintendent of Police was Guest of Honour.

Sh. Kuldeep Gupta General Secretary J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association, Sh. Surinder Mohan Observer & Technical Director Yuva Kabaddi J&K and Ladakh, SH. Anil Modi, Treasure J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association, Sh. Ashok Kumar Salhotra Patron-in Chief (Ex. Director Sports SMVD Katra), Sheikh Tanveer, President Udhampur District Kabaddi Association, Ashok Kumar Sharma (Chairman) presented a bouquet of flower to the Chief Guest.

Earlier, Sheikh Tanveer, President Udhampur District Kabaddi Association presented welcome address and assured the guests and the participants that such event will be organized on regular basis and informed that total 12 teams from various District are taking part in Boys section and 5 teams are participating in Girls section.

In his address he expresses happiness over the healthy participation of players. While extending his best wishes to all participants and organizers he said that every student and non-student youth must take part in games to become an abled bodied human being with qualities and positive thinking, leadership, tolerance and team spirit. It is very good beginning for the budding talent he said.

Other dignitaries who were present Sh. Vikram Slathia former Member Municipal Council Udhampur, Tariq Shah, Vikas Dogra (Manager Subash Stadium Udhampur), Advocate Sanjeev Bavoria, Sh. Pritam Kotwal Retd DY. Dir YS&S Department, Raj Guru Sr. Vice President J&K Volleyball Association, Sanjay Sharma Dr, Vikram Gulati, Vishal Kumar, Ravi Singh, Bhoopinder Singh, Ram Kumar and Anshu Brat Khanna.

The ceremony began with the National Anthem and oath of playing the game with true spirit and sportsmanship and to obey laws and rules of the game.
