Srinagar : In a poignant development, PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti visited the residence of Inspector Masroor Ali Wani, who tragically lost his life to a heinous terrorist attack. Expressing her concern, Mufti questioned the government’s commitment to safeguarding lives in Kashmir.

Responding to Mufti’s visit, J&K BJP Senior Leader and Prominent Youth Leader, Manzoor Bhat, strongly criticized her actions, accusing her of engaging in political posturing within the sacred space of a martyr’s residence.

He stated that when she and her party leaders didn’t pay a single visit to the hospital during his admission, she now has no right to engage in politics just in front of the police officer’s door. He suggested she should be ashamed of this opportunistic act.

Reflecting on the BJP’s involvement, Bhat conveyed that the party consistently maintained a presence at Inspector Wani’s bedside, advocating for his airlift to Delhi for specialized treatment. He urged Mufti to introspect on her past tenure, specifically recalling a time when violence prevailed in Kashmir. Bhat asserted that Mufti’s silence during those tumultuous times should be considered in the context of her current actions.

Manzoor Bhat further said, “The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) stands unwaveringly by those who make the ultimate sacrifice for our nation. We stand shoulder to shoulder with these brave individuals, bowing in profound respect and saluting their unparalleled sacrifice. What sets us apart is our commitment to genuine homage, avoiding the politicization seen elsewhere, including PDP and NC. Our focus remains on sincere support for the families of our fallen heroes”.

The Jammu and Kashmir BJP extends heartfelt condolences to the family of Inspector Masroor Ali Wani and calls for unity in addressing the challenges faced by the region.(CNI) Current News of India
