KISHTWAR : Jammu and Kashmir National Conference senior leader Ajeet Bhagat has welcomed the Supreme Court’s directive to the Election Commission to hold assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir before September 30, 2024.

He also appreciated the directions of the Supreme Court to the Center regarding the restoration of the state. Ajeet Bhagat highlighted the growing hardships faced by the people of Jammu and Kashmir in the absence of a democratically elected government. Bhagat said that lack of public representation has resulted in increased public suffering and lack of accountability.

Ajeet Bhagat asked the central government to follow the directions of the Supreme Court and expedite the assembly elections on the scheduled date of September 2024.
