Anantnag : District Police Anantnag continuing its unwavering efforts to eradicate the Menace of Drugs from the society, arrests one Drug Peddler and recovered Codeine Phosphate bottles from his possession.

An official told News Agency Current News of India (CNI) that on a specific information Police party from Police Post Sangam laid down a naka near Tulkhan crossing Sangam and intercepted one vehicle bearing registration number CH032-2567 for the checking.

He Said that during checking police party recovered 23 Codeine Phosphate bottles from the said vehicle. Driver of the vehicle identified as Mohd Rafiq War Son of Gh Hassan War Resident of Shirpora Frisal was arrested and contraband as well as vehicle used for the commission of crime was seized.

In this regard a case under relevant sections of law stand registered in Police Station Bijbehara and investigation taken up.Current News of India
