In a compelling address to the BJP legal cell and party workers on Sunday at Shiv palace, Roopnagar, Jammu, Vibodh Gupta, BJP J&K General Secretary and former MLC, expressed strong condemnation of the recent statements made by former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and National Conference President, Farooq Abdullah. Gupta asserted that Abdullah’s remarks were not only instigating and seditious but also aimed at creating division between communities in the Rajouri-Poonch area.
Gupta highlighted Abdullah’s alarming comments about ‘serving food to terrorists,’ stating that such rhetoric has instilled fear among the people, indirectly discouraging support for security forces engaged in counter-terrorism efforts. He emphasised that the statements made by National Conference leaders are designed to terrorize the common people of Jammu and Kashmir, contributing to an ecosystem that seeks to disrupt the peace in the Union Territory.
Vibodh Gupta expressed confidence in the resolve of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, stating, “The people stand together against opportunistic leaders with the resolve of not letting anyone disturb the peace in the Union Territory again and overwhelmingly support the Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji’s vision of New J&K marked by development, peace and prosperity.”
Addressing a gathering of legal professionals, Gupta underscored the pivotal role lawyers play in empowering society and creating awareness about people-friendly policies and laws of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led central government. He urged legal practitioners to organise large-scale events to inform the public about the advantages of the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A.
Speaking on the occassion district president Omi Khajuria, said that the transformative policies and unwavering commitment to the welfare of the nation under the BJP government have significantly contributed to the progress and development of our country.
