Baramulla : Cracking a whip on illegal mining of minerals at Khanpora & Delina Baramulla, the Baramulla Police seized four tippers,one tractor besides arresting five drivers.

The Police initiated the action under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Baramulla assisted by SHO PS Baramulla & IC PP Delina

The police seized 4 Tippers, 1 Tractor & arrested 5 drivers namely Mohd Salam Ganie son of Mohd Ashraf resident of Lalad Sopore, Shabir Ahmad Gojree son of Gh Mohd resident of Drangbal, Umar Yousuf Sheikh son of Mohd Yousuf resident of Khanpora, Imran Bashir Malik son of Bashir Ahmad resident of Drangbal & Javid Ahmad Sofi son of Gh Ahmad resident of Delina Ghat.

The drivers alongwith their vehicles were found involved in illegal extraction/ transportation of minerals and accordingly cases FIR under relevant sections of law were registered in Police Station Baramulla against them and investigations taken up.(CNI) Current News of India
