In order to give shape to the ideas of youth of Shopian district, Central reserve police force (CRPF) 178 Bn, organised a volley ball tournament in Imamsahib in which 4 teams played.

The first match played between urpara and wachi, later wachi lifted the match and entered to finals. Commanding officer 178Bn Surjit Kumar and other officers while inaugurated the tournament and pay his wishes to players who were part of the tournament.Many other players and locals also joined the tournament who get enthusaised and welcomed by the tournament. Players were happy as CRPF is organising the such programmes which is overall essential for youth.

Commanding officer Surjit Kumar said that CRPF is always coming forward to uplift youth in any means, as 178 Battalion has organised Many events like medical camps, youth interaction and gymnastism which is itself a sign to engage youth in different activities. He further said that these youth are our future and they can make us proud at any level, he added that to stay away from immoral activities youth must engage in sports activities.

Later players were given sports kits by the commanding officer along with other officers who were present on the event. The locals also presented their thanks to the 178Bn CRPF for organising the such events, and wish more should conduct in future.(CNI) Current News of India
