Budgam : A moving tribute was paid to Legendary , Renowned and prominent poet Fariq
Budgami on his anniversary, as renowned literally personalities, poets, writers, and respected figures
from various walks of life came together to pay tribute to Budgami.
In a literary function, held at Hotel Mahal in Budgam was a poignant blend of reminiscence, insightful
commentary, and the enduring power of Budgami’s evocative verse.
The function commenced with a warm welcome address by renowned poet, Shahbaz Hakhbari who
lauded Budgami’s contribution to Kashmiri literature and his role as a cultural ambassador. This was
followed by a heartfelt reading of some of Budgami’s most cherished poems by various eminent
personalities. The verses, imbued with Budgami’s signature blend of lyricism and profound observation,
