A strong resentment and protest was registered by Imtiyaz Ahmed khan District Congress committee president over the failure of Government to maintain the Heritage wall which collapsed at Bachi Darwaza in downtown creating panic in the area during early hours today.Being Friday also more people visit the Shrine of Makhdoom Sahab(RA)near the revered place of worship.The heritage wall called Kalai was dilapidated and in need of immediate maintenance but the Government gave a deaf ear to the repeated public demand also despite having Archaeological Department with funds in crores to maintain and conduct timely repairs of such historical structures having heritage value which are being neglected by the Government for the past many years.District president and General Secretary congress Amanullah khan also visited the site of damage and urged for immediate clearance of debris and restoration of electricity lines buried under it for providing relief to the suffering public of the area.They also demanded probe .
