Urgent Action Required: Non-Accountability of Anganwadi Centers in Kashmir valley. I am writing to bring to your attention a pressing issue regarding the accountability and functionality of Anganwadi centers in Kashmir division. I want to bring this issue into your notice that these centers are not fulfilling their intended purpose due to several operational shortcomings.
Firstly, the Anganwadi centers are not functional on a regular basis. Despite being established to provide essential services to students/ Children on a daily basis, they remain largely inactive. This inconsistency in operation severely affects the welfare and development of the children who depend on these centers for their educational and nutritional needs.
Secondly, it has been observed that these centers are merely stockpiling resources from the concerned department without effectively utilizing them for the benefit of the students/ children. This misuse of resources is unacceptable and undermines the purpose for which these centers were established.
In light of these issues, I urge you to take immediate action to ensure the following:
Daily Functionality: Implement measures to ensure that Anganwadi centers in Kashmir division especially in Srinagar district operate on a daily basis, providing essential services to the students/ children without interruption.
Accountability: Enforce strict accountability measures to ensure that resources allocated to Anganwadi centers are utilized effectively and transparently for the benefit of the students.
Regular Monitoring: Establish a system for regular monitoring and evaluation of Anganwadi centers to address any operational deficiencies promptly.
It is imperative to prioritize the well-being and development of the children in our community by ensuring the proper functioning of Anganwadi centers. I trust that your swift intervention will lead to the necessary improvements in this regard.
