If they beleive Kashmir is incomplete without Kashmiri Pandits, then Parliament elections will be too, therefore, this is time to prove in practical by all those political parties and by Muslim Majority of Kashmir valley, who have said that “Kashmir is incomplete with out Kashmiri Pandits, and are rose of Kashmir garden.–‘–‘ Kundan Kashmiri, President KPC
At present all the four Major political parties of Union territory of J&K ,which include NC, CONGRESS, BJP, PDP, are actively engaged in distributing the mandates to their respective candidates to contest/ fight the coming parliament election in Jammu and Kashmir and preparing their poll manifesto, s .All these four political parties, two are of National level and other two are U.T / regional political parties, have their own areas of influence and their cadre to launch their election campaign for these coming elections in J&K.
.
Few candidates have already been announced, but none any Kashmiri Pandit as yet, for which KP community is eagerly waiting and watching.
Out of five seats of Parliament constituencies, they can easily nominate one of the candidates from KP community to contest the coming parliament elections on their party tickets and support.and include core issues of victim displaced KP,s in their election manifesto,s.
They are well versed about the fact that Kashmiri Pandit is fully capable to represent them in the parliament which they ( Kashmiri Pandits ) have shown time to time & have contributed tremendously for the development, peace and prosperity of the erstwhile state and have represented people of Kashmir from various constituencies, in particular from KP dominated Habba- Kadal Constituency.
Sh. P.L Handoo was fielded by N.C in 1989 from Anantnagh Parliamentary constituency and got elected for Lok- Sabha. In 1996 BJP fielded three Kashmiri Pandit Candidates for LOK- SABHA elections from Kashmir valley, It is something different if they lost the polls. .For Assembly elections, Late D.P.Dhar was given ticket by National Conference in 1957 and 1962 & won both the times from Habba- Kadal constituency.. Again in1967 Late Sri-Kant Koul was given ticket by Congress from the same Habba-kadal constituency and got elected.
Also Late M.N. Koul was given ticket from Devsor constituency in 1967 as well as from Shangus constituency on congress ticket in 1957 and 1962 and got elected all the times. After that Sh.M.L Fotedar was given mandate by congress in 1972 and got elected. Sh. P.L. Handoo was fielded from Phalgam Constituency by N.C in1977 and 1983 and got elected twice for State Assembly.
Later in 2002 State elections Sh. Raman Mattoo got elected from the same Habba- Kadal constituency as an independent candidate, who was later on elevated as Minster of State in the Cabinet of Mufti Sayeed. Smt. Khemlata wakloo was got nominated to Assembly on the back push of National Conference. Earlier, Late M.K Tickoo was given berth in the Legislative council by National Conference.
This is testing time for Muslim majority of valley as well as so called secularist political organizations of Jammu and Kashmir to field KP candidates for lok sabha seat in Kashmir valley , include core issues in election manifesto and vote for them in general if they really feel incomplete with out Kashmiri Pandits, really treat Kashmiri Pandits roses of Kashmir garden and above all if they want KPs should come back to their homes and hearths in the valley, let these all political parties, politicians, civil society and above all Muslim Majority of Kashmir, prove and act.
