Jammu : Open this letter with profound respect and an earnest plea for your immediate attention towards the plight of Kashmiri Pandit displaced people, who have been living in exile for the past thirty-four years. The gravity of their situation necessitates urgent action, and I implore your goodself to prioritize their rehabilitation on your agenda.
Sir, the Kashmiri Pandit community has suffered immensely due to forced displacement from their land of Kashyap, the Kashmir Valley. It is imperative that they be granted the opportunity to return to their ancestral land and rebuild their lives and culture together at one place.
. Therefore, I humbly request your personal intervention to ensure the consolidated rehabilitation of these victimized Kashmiri Pandits in the Kashmir valley, preferably in one designated area.
Sir, several crucial demands must be addressed to facilitate their rehabilitation effectively. Firstly, the grant of indigenous status and a special financial package to all displaced Kashmiri Pandit families are indispensable measures to alleviate their suffering and enable their resettlement. Additionally, the challenges faced by Kashmiri Pandit youths, especially by overage youths, require special attention and solutions tailored to their needs.
Sir, moreover, it is imperative to provide proper and sufficient political representation to Kashmiri Pandits in both the Parliament and the Jammu and Kashmir assembly. This can be achieved through measures such as granting them four to five mandates to contest the election in valley, in adition to already granted two reserved seats,, besides, one seat each in lokh Sabha and Raj Sabha, which would ensuring their active participation in decision-making processes and other activities.
Besides, immediate confidence-building measures, such as the passage of the shrine bill and implementation of central schemes for displaced Kashmiri Pandit youths, are also crucial steps towards their rehabilitation.
Furthermore, initiatives such as the Prime Minister’s scholarship for Kashmiri Pandit youths, interest-free loan facilities, and employment opportunities in central departments and undertakings will significantly contribute to their socioeconomic upliftment.
Sir, i urge your good self to consider the establishment of a commission of inquiry to investigate the atrocities faced by Kashmiri Pandits, including ethnic cleansing, death, loot, and arson of their properties and encroachment & forcible occupation of land during the turmoil. It is imperative to seek justice for their grievances and hold perpetrators accountable for their actions.
In conclusion sir, I respectfully request your intervention to address the longstanding demands of the Kashmiri Pandit community, including their one-place settlement in the valley, grant of special financial package to all displaced Kashmiri Pandits, grant of indigenous status in Kashmir valley, passage of shrine and temple bill, and the establishment of a commission of inquiry for their forced exodus and ethnic cleansing and other issues. These issues must find a prominent place in the BJP party manifesto of the ongoing elections, and + reflecting the government’s commitment to their cause.
Sir, i sincerely hope that under your visionary leadership, the aspirations of the Kashmiri Pandit community will be realized, and justice will be served to those who have suffered. Thank you sir for your attention to this urgent matter.CNI
Yours sincerely,
