He alleged that the Congress is “anti-OBC” and has put important reports on the reservation issue in cold storage.

“I want to make one thing clear. The Congress party is spreading a misconception especially among the Dalit and tribal brothers that the BJP is going to do away with reservation.

“Listen to me carefully. Whether it is reservation for dalits, tribals or backward classes, BJP supports it. We will neither abolish reservation nor allow anyone,” Alwar said. said at a rally in support of Lok Sabha candidate Bhupendra Yadav.

Shah’s claim comes in the backdrop of the Congress’s promise in its election manifesto to introduce a constitutional amendment to raise the 50 percent limit on reservations for SCs, STs and OBCs. The Congress has also said that a caste census will be conducted if it comes to power.

The BJP leader alleged that the Congress had done injustice to the backward classes over the years.

Lok Sabha elections in Rajasthan will be held in two phases on April 19 and 26. Voting will be held in 12 seats in the first phase – Ganganagar, Bikaner, Churu, Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Jaipur Rural, Jaipur, Alwar, Bharatpur, Karoli-Dholpur, Dosa and Nagor.

In the second phase, voting will be held in the 13 constituencies of Tonk, Ajmer, Pali, Jodhpur, Barmer, Jalore, Udaipur, Banswara, Chittorgarh, Rajsamand, Bhilwara, Kota and Jhalwar. (CNI)
