Srinagar, (CNI): National Conference leader Omar Abdullah on Saturday said that both India and Pakistan should create favorable conditions for the resumption of talks.
Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Abdullah has criticized those who say India should use force to take back Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and stressed that when push comes to shove But the last mile is always crossed through communication.
Abdullah told PTI in an interview here, “Let me put it this way, you will not solve any problem by using force alone. Ultimately, when push comes to shove, the last mile always matters. It is crossed only through dialogue,” Abdullah told PTI in an interview here.
“That said, creating the conditions for dialogue is the responsibility of both sides, not India alone,” he added.
On the possibility of resuming talks between the two countries, National Conference Vice President Abdullah said, “Now, you have a new government in Pakistan and after June, you will have a new government in India, whoever it is. Head of Government
He added that let’s see if favorable conditions can be created for talks between these two governments.
Abdullah said that those insisting on war with Pakistan should go ahead and do it.
“Now, those who say there is no need for dialogue, then what about the part of Jammu and Kashmir which is outside (PoK), we should leave it.
“When you say you can get it back through battle, do it. Who’s stopping you?” He said. (CNI)
