JAMMU (CNI): Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday said that India has the power to attack its enemy from its own territory and across the LoC in enemy territory as the country has the best military power in the world. 

 

According to the news agency, while addressing an election rally in Jammu’s Kathua district, Singh said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has emerged as the strongest country in the world on all fronts.

 

“We have the power to attack our enemy outside the LoC and across the LoC in the enemy’s own territory. We proved our strength with the September 28 surgical strike,” Singh said in Udhampur.

 

Calling for votes for BJP’s candidate for the parliamentary seat, the defense minister said India is reaching new heights under the leadership of PM Modi. “The elections to the Udhampur Lok Sabha seat are going to be held on April 19.

 

He said that regional parties in Jammu and Kashmir like National Conference, PDP and even Congress misused Article 370 for their political gain. “I saw pictures of Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi playing with snow in Kashmir. How could they play with snow if Article 370 was there,” Singh asked.

 

Taking a jibe at PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti, who had once claimed that rivers of blood would flow if Article 370 was removed, the defense minister said: “She (Mehobooba) once said that There will be a Nadia of blood in Jammu and Kashmir, if Article 370. But I assure you that rivers of milk and water will flow in Jammu and Kashmir with prosperity.

 

Continuing his attack on the PDP chief, Singh said that Mehbooba had also said that no one would raise the tricolor in Jammu and Kashmir if Article 370 was invoked, but today, “the tricolor is flying high in every home and government building.”

 

He said that in BJP’s Sankalpputra (Sankalpputra), PM Modi ensured inclusion of free treatment for people above the age of 70 regardless of income group. Singh said, “Who else can do this except Modi.

 

The Defense Minister appealed to the people to vote in large numbers in favor of Dr Jitendra Singh and said that the BJP is committed to protecting the rights of women. “Irrespective of caste and colour, we ensured women were protected in every way. We abolished triple talaq to ensure women’s protection. It was a great injustice if a man If he marries a woman, he has the right to divorce her by saying the word tilak three times here,” he said.
