Gurez: The residents of Niru Sikander in Gurez valley area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district, carried an elderly man to the hospital on their shoulders due to uncleared roads following heavy snowfall.

The challenges faced by residents in remote areas of Gurez valley, who despite tall claims of development, lack proper road connectivity during winters in the region.

Locals speaking with Media said the critical patient from Niru village had to be carried all the way to Dawar Hospital due to non-clearance of snow on the Niru Sikander Nallah road.

The villagers have urged the authorities to take action and clear the roads in their area to ensure easier transportation, especially for medical emergencies so that the people could get a sign of relief.(CNI) Current News of India
