The Kashmiri Pandit Conference ( KPC ) expresses deep anger and profound anguish at the systematic sidelining, neglect, and isolation of Kashmiri Pandit issues in the current Assembly session. President Kashmiri Pandit Conference ( KPC )

Kundan Kashmiri stated that it is an inexcusable reality that, while the displaced Kashmiri Pandits continue to suffer from historical injustices, the Assembly diverts its attention to matters that do not address our community’s existential crisis. The grave issues—demanding a one place secure settlement within the valley, complete

with constitutional and institutional guarantees, essential facilities, and rightful restoration or compensation for lost land, property, orchards, and other invaluable assets—have been callously ignored. He said unequivocally reject the recent demand for a holiday on July 31 within the

Assembly House.

This demand is not a gesture of democratic respect but a politicized act that misinterprets and manipulates a day steeped in communal violence. July 31 is a painful reminder of a dark chapter in our history when Kashmiri Pandits were looted, humiliated, and burnt—a

day that sowed the seeds of communalism and anti-Kashmiri Pandit sentiment. Celebrating this day with a holiday is not only historically inaccurate but a deliberate affront to the dignity and memories of our people.Community must be officially recognized as victims of genocide and ethnic cleansing. The brutal acts of killing, massacre, looting, and arson that our people have suffered are crimes of the highest order, and those responsible must be held fully

accountable and punished to the fullest extent of the law. Furthermore, he demanded the immediate restoration of the rights, lands, and livelihoods that were stolen from our community. The displacement, loss, and suffering endured by Kashmiri Pandits cannot be remedied by mere

words or symbolic gestures; it requires decisive, concrete actions that restore our dignity and secure our future.KPC also issue a stern warning to political parties—including the National Conference (NC), the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), and others—not to play gimmicks or politicize the tragedy of the Kashmiri Pandit community. Our historical pain and ongoing

struggle are not tools for political manipulation, and any such attempts will be met with resolute opposition by the Kashmir Pandit Conference. KPC demanded that the Union territory governmet and its institutions immediately acknowledge these historical wrongs and take concrete, remedial actions that are both comprehensive and compassionate.

The need for policy reform is urgent; symbolic gestures cannot replace the substantive measures required to restore dignity and secure our future.KPC leadership further said that Our community struggle for justice is not merely a quest for redress but a call to reaffirm our rights.

The Kashmir Pandit Conference remains steadfast in its commitment to champion the cause of our people until these long-overdue issues are addressed with the seriousness they demand. [ MEDIA CELL KPC] Mobile No 8802257955Email — kundankashmiri@gnail.com
