UAPA Investigation: Police Recover Material Tied to Masrat Alam Faction

Baramulla, , CNI: Baramulla Police on Wednesday carried out a search operation at a residential house in Chakloo area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, recovering several items considered incriminating in an ongoing investigation under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).

According to a police spokesperson, the raid was conducted at the residence of one Masqood Allie, son of Mohammad Sultan Allie, in connection with an FIR registered under number 12/2024, invoking sections 10 and 13 of the UA(P) Act.
The search was conducted under the supervision of an Executive Magistrate, ensuring procedural transparency. During the operation, police recovered six posters of the banned outfit Muslim League – Masrat Alam faction, a membership card, a Lava keypad phone with a SIM card, a Samsung smartphone (with battery and SIM removed), a white pendrive, a locket-type USB drive, and Rs 30,000 in cash.
All seized items have been taken into custody and added to the case records as evidence. Police said the investigation is ongoing and further legal proceedings will follow as per the developments in the case. (CNI)
