Jammu, (CNI): Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta today listened to the monthly broadcast of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ at Booth No. 100 in the Jammu South constituency. He joined party workers, local residents, and booth-level karyakartas to listen to the 121st episode of the PM’s radio programme, which delivered a strong and emotional message in the wake of the recent terror attack in Pahalgam.PM Modi, while addressing the nation, condemned the cowardly terrorist attack that claimed 26 innocent lives, stating that “terrorists and their patrons want Kashmir to be destroyed again.” The Prime Minister assured that the perpetrators of the attack would be dealt with sternly, saying, “They will be served with the harshest response.”Reacting to the PM’s address, Kavinder said the entire nation stands united with the families of the victims and with the security forces who are working tirelessly to root out terrorism from the soil of Jammu and Kashmir.“The PM’s words today have given courage to every patriotic Indian. The attack in Pahalgam is not just an attack on innocents but an attack on the peace, progress, and prosperity of Kashmir. As the PM rightly pointed out, when Kashmir was witnessing a new era of development — vibrant schools, growing tourism, fast-paced infrastructure work, and strengthening democracy — these enemies of peace conspired to bring destruction,” he said.The senior BJP leader also praised the swift action taken by security forces in the aftermath of the attack, including the demolition of houses belonging to terrorists. “These measures send a clear signal — terrorism and its sympathizers will not be tolerated in the new Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.Kavinder further stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the resolve to eliminate terrorism is stronger than ever, and the entire country is determined to ensure that Kashmir remains on the path of peace, prosperity, and development.The programme concluded with a pledge by party workers and residents to continue supporting the government’s efforts to uphold peace and fight terrorism in all its forms.(CNI)
