Subject: Earnest Appeal for Immediate Release of Long-Pending Salaries and Retirement Dues of J&K Cements Ltd Employees.

Hournrable Sir,

With a deep sense of urgency and responsibility, I, on behalf of the Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC), extend this heartfelt appeal to your esteemed office regarding the extremely distressing condition of the employees of Jammu and Kashmir Cements Limited, a government-owned undertaking, who have been living a life of agony and despair due to non-payment of their salaries for the last 23 months and the continued withholding of their rightful retirement dues.

Sir, this prolonged financial suffocation has brought them and their families to the brink of collapse. The tragedy is compounded by the fact that some of these employees are battling chronic and terminal illnesses such as cancer, yet are deprived of both income and institutional support. Their lives today are marked by endless suffering and silent cries that remain unheard.

Sir, these families are unable to repay their bank loans, resulting in harassment and psychological trauma. They are burdened with debt to local shopkeepers and are unable to meet the basic requirements of daily life, food, medicine, and shelter. The most heart-wrenching reality is that many are unable to solemnize the marriages of their children, watching helplessly as the years slip away and hopes fade. Parents are spending sleepless nights, tormented by the fear that their children may cross the age of marriage without fulfilling these sacred responsibilities.

Sir, it is deeply painful to acknowledge that such a heart-wrenching human crisis is unfolding within a government enterprise in a democratic setup. With the upcoming festival of Eid-ul-Azha, which symbolizes sacrifice, compassion, and togetherness, these distressed employees stand excluded from its joy and warmth, their hearts heavy and homes empty.

Sir, we earnestly urge your compassionate and prompt intervention to release the 23 months of pending salaries and the long-delayed retirement dues that were already acknowledged and announced by the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister during the Budget Session. A special consideration is also requested for those suffering from life-threatening diseases who deserve immediate financial and medical relief.

This is not merely a financial matter; it is a humanitarian crisis that demands your immediate and personal attention. A timely act of justice from your end will not only save lives but will also restore dignity, hope, and faith in governance.

With hope, pain, and folded hands, we look up to your esteemed authority for swift redressal of this tragic situation.

Yours faithfully,
