MIRAN SAHIB BRIGADE PLANTS OVER 5,000 TRESS IN BORDER AREAS AS GREEN SHIELD FOR THE NATIONMIRAN SAHIB BRIGADE PLANTS OVER 5,000 TRESS IN BORDER AREAS AS GREEN SHIELD FOR THE NATION

On the occasion of World Environment Day, the Miran Sahib Brigade of Tiger Division undertook a meaningful and mission-driven tree plantation drive, planting over 5,000 trees across key border locations – in RS Pura Sector.
What made the effort truly special, was the active participation of school children, teachers and villagers, who joined hands with our soldiers to turn barren stretches into green corridors. Together, they planted hope – root by root, sapling by sapling.
The Brigade’s initiative reflects a growing belief that national security and environmental stewardship go hand in hand. This is not just about planting trees: it’s about creating a living shield, one that protects both the land and those who defend it.
As the saplings will take root in the soil of our borderlands, they will also spread in the hearts of the communities and soldiers who planted them – a shared commitment to safeguard both the nation and nature.(CNI)
