Jammu, (cni) – Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) political stalwart and former Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir, Kavinder Gupta, has hailed Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, for introducing a groundbreaking initiative aimed at providing significant relief to the common people. The Government of India has announced the launch of a ₹3,000 Annual FASTag Pass, effective from August 15, 2025, designed to make highway travel more affordable and seamless for millions of private vehicle owners across the nation.

The ₹3,000 Annual FASTag Pass is exclusively tailored for non-commercial private vehicles, including cars, jeeps, and vans. This initiative is set to revolutionize the toll collection system by offering an affordable, all-inclusive pass that eliminates the need for frequent toll payments, saving both time and money for commuters. Gupta emphasized that this move will particularly benefit the residents of Jammu & Kashmir, where improved road infrastructure and connectivity have been a focus of the BJP-led government. “The people of J&K will reap immense benefits from this initiative, as it complements the remarkable strides made in road development and transportation under the Modi government,” he added.
