Mumbai, cni: Actor-model Shefali Jariwala passed away at the age of 42 on Friday in Mumbai. She was reportedly rushed to Bellevue Multispecialty Hospital by her husband, Parag Tyagi, and three others, where doctors later declared her dead.

The cause of death has not yet been confirmed.

A Mumbai police official told ANI, “Her body was found at her residence in Andheri area.

Mumbai Police received information about this at 1 am. Her body has been sent to Cooper Hospital for postmortem. The cause of death is not yet clear.”

Shefali Jariwala is best known for her performance in the music video of “Kaanta Laga”, the iconic early 2000s hit. The song even earned her the title of ‘Kaanta Laga Girl.’ She then featured in Salman Khan’s Mujhse Shaadi Karogi.

Later, she even participated in the reality show hosted by Salman, Bigg Boss 13, where she remained in the limelight because of her previous history with one of the contestants, Sidharth Shukla. The two had dated each other previously.

In 2004, Shefali got married to musician Harmeet Singh of Meet Brothers fame but parted ways in 2009. In 2015, she got married to actor Parag Tyagi.
