Srinagar: Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has called on the Jammu and Kashmir administration to extend the ongoing summer vacation for schools across the Valley in view of the severe heatwave.
Expressing concern over the health and well-being of children, he stated that the rising temperatures are taking a toll on the general population, especially students.The Mirwaiz emphasized that the government must seriously consider extending the school break by several more days to safeguard children from the adverse weather conditions.
He also appealed to the public for collective prayers, urging people to seek Allah’s ﷻ mercy and relief through rainfall during this period of intense heat. CNI
