Srinagar, July 8: National Conference President and former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah has called on Muslims across the world to unite for peace and justice. He expressed strong support for the people of Palestine and Iran, saying that they are going through difficult times and need global solidarity.

Speaking to the media, Abdullah said, “We stand with the people of Palestine and Iran in their struggles. Islam is a religion of peace and teaches us to stand against injustice. Muslims must come together to support peace and oppose evil.”

He also connected the current situation to the historical message of Karbala, saying that Imam Hussain’s (AS) stand against oppression remains relevant even today. “Imam Hussain (AS) gave us the message of standing for justice and peace. That is what Karbala teaches us — to never stay silent in front of tyranny,” he said.

His remarks come at a time of increasing violence in Palestine and growing regional tensions involving Iran. Abdullah’s message adds to the global voices urging peaceful resistance, justice, and unity in areas affected by conflict.

As Muharram is being observed around the world, Farooq Abdullah’s words are expected to strike a chord with many, especially those remembering the sacrifice of Imam Hussain (AS) and reflecting on its message of courage and truth.
