Amarnath Yatra Bus Crash in Kulgam: 10 Pilgrims from MP Injured in Highway Collision

Kulgam: Ten Amarnath Yatra pilgrims from Madhya Pradesh were injured on Sunday when three buses collided on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway (NH44) near Khudwani crossing in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

According to officials, one of the buses (MT41ZD 7546) lost control and crashed into two other buses (MP44ZD 7717 and JK2Y 0798). The accident caused panic among yatris traveling to the holy Amarnath Cave.

Kulgam Police acted quickly and shifted 14 passengers to the local PHC LG Pora Wanpoh. After checkups, nine of them were found to need further treatment and were sent to Government Medical College (GMC) Anantnag. Thankfully, all are in stable condition.

  4. Piswan Choudhary
  5. Bagas Ratan
  6. Mushra
  7. Sham Lal
  8. Ishwar Lal Bali
  9. Jagarnath

All injured were part of this year’s Shri Amarnath Yatra (SANJY-2025). Police have started an investigation into the incident.
