Bike rally taken out by Jammu police, south zone, flagged off by SSP Jammu from DPL Jammu to the last inhabited village near IB in Makwal area. This was a part of 79th Independence Day celebrations to spread the message of freedom, unity, fraternity and spirit of India through a medium of Bike rally. It was also to pay tribute to the fallen heroes of JKP and other forces in maintaining the unity & integrity of the great nation.
Jammu police also payed a tribute to the courage and valour of the people of border village Makwal who all held their ground during operation Sandoor and stood shoulder to shoulder with the Indian Army, BSF and JKP.
The rally passed through convent crossing, Asia chowk, Raipur Satwari, Phallianmandal, Makwal, ring road, Miransahib, Gadigarh, Satwati and culminated at PS Gandhinagar. All the SDPOs, SHOs and IC PPs led by SP South participated in it. Enroute, the rally was affectionately received with flowers by the locals at Raipur Satwari, Phallianmandal and Makwal.
