Gurez: A youth panchayat meeting was held today at the Youth Centre in Bagtore, near the Line of Control in Gurez, under the initiative of the Indian Army’s Rana Battalion. The meeting aimed to engage local youth, encourage constructive dialogue, and strengthen cooperation between the community and the armed forces.
A large number of young people from the surrounding areas participated in the programme. During the interaction, officers of the Rana Battalion highlighted the importance of education, skill development, and active participation of youth in nation building. The youth were also encouraged to share their concerns, aspirations, and suggestions related to development and welfare in the region.
The Army officials assured the participants of continued support in initiatives related to sports, education, and vocational training, especially in remote border areas like Gurez. They emphasized that such interactions help build trust and understanding while addressing local issues in a positive manner.
Participants appreciated the effort of the Indian Army in organizing the meeting and described it as a meaningful platform for dialogue. The event concluded on a positive note, with a shared commitment to work together for peace, progress, and the overall development of the Gurez region. Cni
