As part of this prestigious celebration, IHRO J&K Chapter will honour 100 exceptional women from across the Kashmir Division with Hosla Afzai (Encouragement) Awards, recognizing their resilience, leadership, and outstanding contributions to society. This initiative celebrates women who inspire change and help build a stronger, more inclusive future.
Among the distinguished awardees is Dr.Jagmeet Kour Bali whose dedication and achievements reflect the spirit of empowerment IHRO seeks to honor.
✨ Spotlight on Dr. Jagmeet Kour Bali ✨
A remarkable Sikh community leader and trade union activist from J&K, Dr. Jagmeet Kour Bali serves as Chairperson of the All Sikh Minority Employees Association (ASMEA) and All Employees Joint Association Kashmir (AEJAK). She is also President of the Jammu Kashmir Solace Working Women Association, working tirelessly to advocate for minority rights, women’s empowerment, and social welfare.
Began as a journalist advocating for marginalized communities.
Co-founded The Kashmir Impact, highlighting positive stories from the region.
Founded organizations championing minority employee rights, particularly for Sikhs.
Actively addresses social issues, including domestic violence, drug abuse, cleanliness drives, and blood donation campaigns.
Recipient of the Seva Puraskar Award (Gandhi Global Family) and an Honorary Doctorate in Public Relations from Frankford International University (USA, 2025).
Frequently meets with high-level officials to raise issues affecting Sikh and minority employees, promoting justice, security, and equality.
