Nagrota: cni Alumni of the 1979 Batch of Sainik School Nagrota donated 200 books to the School Library, reaffirming their commitment to promoting reading habits and academic excellence among cadets.
The donated collection comprises motivational literature, leadership books, encyclopedias, biographies, history titles, and children’s books, aimed at enhancing communication skills, general awareness, and the art of public speaking, thereby significantly enriching the school’s learning resources.
The books were formally handed over to the Principal by Col Sanjeev Gupta (Retd), an alumnus of the 1979 batch, in the presence of Brigadier GS Shan, President, NEXAS, the Vice Principal, and cadets of Sainik School Nagrota.
The initiative was led by Col Sanjeev Gupta (Retd), who underscored the importance of cultivating lifelong reading habits and building a strong intellectual foundation among cadets. Other contributing alumni from the 1979 batch include Mr Vikas Sadhu, Mr Sanjeev Koul, and Mr Arvind Sharma.
Appreciating the gesture, the principal lauded the alumni for their meaningful contribution and continued association with their alma mater.
