Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President Tariq Hameed Karra on Monday said that the funds being received from the Central Government should be clearly reflected in the J&K Legislative Assembly budget.Speaking to reporters outside J&K Assembly in Jammu, as per news agency CNI, Karra said, “As the Chief Minister has mentioned that significant funds are being provided by the Centre, we hope that this support will be visible in today’s budget and benefit the people of Jammu and Kashmir.”Commenting on speculations regarding the notification of Business Rules, Karra said it would be a positive step if implemented. “If the Business Rules are being notified, it is a good development. The Congress has been advocating for their notification for the last one year. We have repeatedly stated that until the Business Rules are notified, political, administrative and developmental confusion will continue. We are once again demanding their immediate notification,” he said. However, Karra asserted that notification of Business Rules alone is not sufficient. “Even after the Business Rules are notified, our core stand remai7ns the same — full statehood must be restored at the earliest,” he added. He further alleged misuse of SIR, saying, “SIR has been adopted as a novel method of pre-poll rigging. The Congress party will try its best to stop SIR in Jammu as much as possible.” CNI
