Er Nazir Yatoo Speaks to SP Kangra Kulbhushan Verma (HPS) on Phone; Police Assures Strict Action in Threat Case of Kashmiri Shawl Vendor
Budgam, February 02: Er Nazir Yatoo spoke on phone with Mr. Kulbhushan Verma (HPS), Superintendent of Police, Kangra District, Himachal Pradesh, regarding the incident in which a Kashmiri shawl vendor from Kupwara J&K was threatened by a miscreant in Kangra.SP Kulbushan Verma assured Er Nazir Yatoo that the Himachal Pradesh Police has taken strong cognizance of the matter and that strict legal action will be initiated against the accused. He stated unequivocally that such acts will not be tolerated, and the case is being examined with utmost seriousness.The SP further conveyed a clear message to the Kashmiri shawl vendor, saying that the Himachal Pradesh Police stands firmly for his protection and that there is no reason to fear. He emphasized that the safety of traders and visitors from all parts of the country is a priority for the police.Mr. Verma also remarked that such incidents are the work of a few miscreants attempting to disturb peace and communal harmony, but their efforts will fail. He stressed that India stands united, and people must continue to live together in peace, brotherhood, and mutual respect.Er Nazir Yatoo welcomed the firm assurance given by the Kangra Police and expressed confidence that decisive action will send a strong message against those trying to disrupt harmony and unity in the country
