4th State Level PDMP Held at IPH&H College of Nursing, Jammu

The 4th One Day State Level Professional Development Management Programme (PDMP) was successfully organized at the Institute of Public Health & Hygiene (IPH&H), College of Nursing & Allied Health Sciences, Kot Bhalwal, Jammu. The programme was attended by doctors, nursing professionals, allied healthcare workers, and final-year students of nursing and paramedical colleges.The programme focused on enhancing leadership skills, professional management, communication, patient safety, infection prevention and control, and emergency response capabilities among healthcare professionals.The inaugural session featured Dr. Sabbey Sharma, Chief Administrative Officer, IPHHS & College of Nursing, who welcomed the participants. Prof. (Dr.) A. S. Bhatia, Principal, GMC Rajouri, emphasized teamwork and leadership in healthcare delivery. Sh. V. K. Nangalia Bhardwaj, Chairman, IPHHS & College of Nursing, appreciated the collaborative efforts of the AHA Jammu Chapter and IPH&H.The Chief Guest, Dr. Yashpal Sharma, Executive Director, SMVD Institute of Medical Excellence, Kakrayal, highlighted the importance of hospital administration, effective communication, and patient safety in strengthening healthcare systems.Scientific sessions were conducted on communication skills, infection prevention and control, patient safety, leadership in health, and first aid and basic life support by eminent speakers from various institutions.The programme concluded with a valedictory session and certificate distribution, graced by Dr. Abdul Hamid Zargar, Director Health Services, Jammu, who appreciated the organizers and encouraged participants to apply the knowledge in their professional practice.The event witnessed enthusiastic participation and was widely appreciated for contributing to the professional and managerial development of healthcare professionals and students.
