Udhampur: cni Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) organized a record attempt on the Largest Hand Sanitization Exercise, PAN AFMS, in association with the India Book of Records and Asia Book of Records, to commemorate the celebrations of 100 years of Military Nursing Service providing selfless service to service personnel and their families.Command Hospital Northern Command, Udhampur, successfully conducted the event on 05 Feb 2026 at 0815 hrs to bring together the tri-services of the Indian Defence Forces to collectively perform a standardized hand sanitization protocol, reiterating the significance of hand sanitization as a critical safety measure ensuring patient safety and saving lives.The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from officers, Military Nursing Service (MNS) officers, paramedical staff, and other healthcare workers, including civilian staff of Udhampur Military Station. A total of 421 participants took part in the event.The Programme aimed to reinforce the importance of proper hand sanitization practices among healthcare professionals, paramedical staff, and support personnel, in line with AFMS and WHO infection prevention guidelines. A demonstration on the correct hand sanitization technique was conducted, followed by interactive sessions highlighting the role of hand hygiene in preventing hospital acquired infections.cni
