August 25 Declared Non-Sitting Day on Eid-i-Milad-un-Nabi; High Court Notifies Change in Working Calendar

Srinagar, CNI NEWS: The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh has declared August 26, 2026 (Wednesday), as a holiday for the Hon’ble Court and December 19, 2026 (Saturday), as a working day in lieu of August 25.

As per a notification issued by the Registrar General of the High Court of J&K and Ladakh, August 25, 2026 (Tuesday), which was earlier shown as a holiday on account of Eid-i-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW), will be observed as a “Non-sitting day” for the Hon’ble Court.

The notification, bearing No. 1835 of 2026/RG/NG-15(1) and dated August 18, 2026, stated that August 26 shall be observed as a holiday in lieu of the August 25 non-sitting day.

It further stated that December 19, 2026, which had earlier been declared a non-sitting day pursuant to High Court Order No. 1313 of 2026/RG/NG-15(1), dated June 19, 2026, will now be observed as a “Working day” for the Hon’ble Court in lieu of August 25, 2026.
