Srinagar, (CNI NEWS): The Jammu ans Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday chaired a review meeting on waterlogging and Srinagar’s growing drainage challenges, directing the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) to strengthen both emergency response and long-term drainage

Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure a swift response during periods of heavy rainfall, alongside preparation of a sustainable long-term drainage plan for Srinagar.He also called for launching a civic awareness campaign to discourage residents from dumping polythene and other waste into drains, stressing the need for public cooperation to address recurring
