Residents of a refugee village in Block Baktoor, Gurez, are facing serious difficulties due to poor power supply. The residents today raised their concerns, stating that they have not been receiving a reliable electricity supply for some time.According to the residents, they were earlier receiving comparatively better power supply through a diesel generator. However, after the village was connected to the transmission line from Bandipora, the power supply has deteriorated significantly.

The residents have appealed to the Deputy Commissioner, Bandipora, to address the issue at the earliest and install a dedicated transformer in the village so that they can receive a stable and reliable electricity supply.Residents also expressed their disappointment, saying that they are paying their electricity bills regularly and on time, but are still not receiving adequate power supply in return.They have once again urged the administration to install a transformer in the village at the earliest and ensure uninterrupted power supply, especially as the harsh winter season approaches.
