Security forces have sounded a high alert along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch after a suspected Pakistani drone was spotted hovering over forward areas, triggering an intensified

security response in the sensitive border belt.The suspected drone was reportedly sighted over Behrooti village in Balakote sector of Mendhar late Friday evening before moving towards the Mangalnar-Dabrote axis close to the LoC and subsequently disappearing towards the Pakistan side.Following the suspected aerial intrusion, security forces immediately tightened surveillance and launched an extensive search operation across the area to rule out any

possibility of weapons, explosives, narcotics or other suspicious material being dropped from the drone.Troops have intensified domination of the forward areas, while surveillance has been stepped up along vulnerable stretches of the LoC. The operation was continuing as security agencies remained on heightened alert.Officials said the search operation is aimed at detecting any suspicious activity or material that may have been left behind following the drone movement.
