Zaheer Ahmad Gurez Gurez: CNI NEWS Even in this digital era, there are still some villages in the country that remain deprived of basic mobile network connectivity. In Gurez’s Block Baktoor, around three to four villages are still facing serious network problems.Villages including Izmarg, Jalindora, Chountiwari, New Basti and Nayal continue to

remain without proper mobile network coverage. Local residents say they have repeatedly been assured that network connectivity would soon be provided to their villages, but so far, no visible progress has been seen on the ground. The residents have appealed to the Lieutenant Governor’s administration and the Deputy Commissioner Bandipora to ensure that mobile towers are installed in these villages at the earliest.Locals say that in today’s digital age, mobile connectivity has become a basic

necessity. Whether it is online education, digital payments, emergency communication or access to important online services, a reliable network is essential.Students and the general public are among those most affected by the lack of connectivity. The residents hope that the concerned authorities will take immediate action and provide proper network facilities to these remote villages so that they too can benefit from the opportunities of the digital era.
