Respected Sir,Today, , the Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC), a representative organization of the displaced Kashmiri Pandit community living in exile, respectfully again submit this urgent humanitarian memorandum seeking your kind intervention and consideration regarding the prolonged displacement and suffering of the indigenous Kashmiri Pandit community. .

The Kashmiri Pandits, one of the world’s oldest surviving indigenous communities, were forced to flee the Kashmir Valley during the tragic events of 1989-1990 due to widespread threats, targeted killings, religious persecution, intimidation, and an atmosphere of terror created by militancy. As a consequence, more than four lakh members of the community were compelled to abandon their ancestral homes, properties, temples, educational institutions, cultural centres and centuries-old heritage.Sir , more than three and a half decades have now passed. Yet a large segment of the community continues to live in exile, deprived of its ancestors land struggling to preserve its unique identity, culture, language, traditions and religious heritage.The displacement of Kashmiri Pandits remains one of the most painful and unresolved humanitarian tragedies in contemporary South Asian history.

Thousands of families continue to suffer social, economic, psychological and cultural consequences arising from this forced migration.In view of the above, we today again, humbly appeal to the Hounrable National Human rights Commission of India and others for your kind attention as under. 1.Acknowledge and recognize the humanitarian suffering and forced displacement endured by the Kashmiri Pandit

community.2.Support an impartial and objective examination of the circumstances that led to the mass exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from their ancestral Land of Kashyap in Kashmir valley. 3.Advocate recognition of displaced Kashmiri Pandits as Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in accordance with internationally accepted humanitarian principles.4.Encourage measures for the safe, secure, dignified and sustainable “one place” rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits at the land of Kashyap in the Kashmir Valley.5.Support the creation of conditions that guarantee security, human dignity, religious freedom and equal opportunities for all returnees.6.Protect and preserve the indigenous identity of Kashmiri Pandits, including their

language, culture, traditions, customs and historical legacy.7.Support the preservation, restoration and protection of temples, shrines, religious sites and cultural heritage institutions associated with the community.8.Encourage humanitarian initiatives and international awareness regarding the plight of displaced Kashmiri Pandits who continue to live away from their ancestors land of Kashyap in Kashmir

valley9.Recognize the contribution of Kashmiri Pandits to the composite culture and civilizational heritage of Kashmir, and support efforts to safeguard this invaluable legacy for future generations.,Sir,, despite decades of exile, suffering and uncertainty, the Kashmiri Pandit community has remained firmly committed to democratic values, peaceful coexistence, secular principles, human rights and national unity.We are not seeking privilege and sympathies, but seek justice, recognition of our suffering and support for our rightful “One Place”

rehabilitation with dignity and security in our ancestral land of Kashyap in Kashmir Valley.
