MENDHAR/CNI NEWS/ Developmental activities across the Mendhar Sub-Division have gained fresh momentum, with a renewed focus on public welfare, basic infrastructure and the delivery of essential services.
Against this backdrop, Cabinet Minister Javed Ahmed Rana visited Salwah, where he inaugurated various developmental works and addressed a large public gathering attended by thousands of people from Salwah and adjoining villages.The minister’s visit witnessed an overwhelming participation of local residents, prominent citizens, public representatives and youth from villages situated in all four directions around Salwah.
The massive gathering reflected the growing public interest in developmental initiatives and the issues concerning the people of the remote and rural areas of Mendhar.Addressing the gathering, Javed Ahmed Rana said that providing basic amenities to the people and ensuring balanced development of Mendhar remain among his foremost priorities. He emphasised that development plans are being taken forward in accordance with public requirements, with special attention being given to roads, water supply, power, healthcare, education, sports and other essential sectors.
The Cabinet Minister said that every effort would be made to ensure that people, particularly those living in remote and underserved areas, do not face unnecessary difficulties in accessing basic facilities. He stressed the need for effective coordination among different departments so that developmental schemes are implemented efficiently and their benefits reach the common people.Giving particular emphasis to employment, Rana said that creating greater employment and livelihood opportunities for unemployed youth is also a key priority. He maintained that young people should be provided better opportunities at the local level so that they can build a secure and dignified future without being compelled to look elsewhere for opportunities.
The inauguration of developmental works at Salwah was described by local residents as an important step towards strengthening infrastructure and improving public facilities in the area. People also raised various local concerns and longstanding demands during the interaction, seeking greater attention towards roads, public services and other basic requirements.Public circles said that the continued focus on developmental works, coupled with direct engagement with the people, has generated fresh expectations regarding the overall development of Mendhar.
They expressed hope that the ongoing pace of development would be maintained and extended to other remote areas of the sub-division.The large participation of youth in the Salwah gathering also remained a significant feature of the event. Local residents said that along with infrastructure and basic facilities, employment opportunities and avenues for skill development are among the major expectations of the younger generation.
Political and public circles observed that the emphasis on development, resolution of public grievances and sustained public outreach could further strengthen the National Conference’s connect with the people of Mendhar. They said that continued implementation of development-oriented initiatives would play a significant role in shaping the region’s future and addressing its longstanding infrastructure and employment-related challenges.
