Srinagar, CNI NEWS: Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) Commissioner Faz Lul Haseeb on Tuesday said a series of small interventions, including slip lanes at Sangarmal and Jehangir Chowk, are being planned to ease traffic

congestion along the busy MA Road.Speaking to reporters in Srinagar, Haseeb said the SMC, in coordination with its engineers and the Srinagar Smart City team, has been working on measures to reduce traffic pressure and improve vehicular movement along the road.“We have prepared designs for Sangarmal and Jehangir Chowk.

The work is expected to start in the next few days, and these small interventions will help improve traffic movement,” he said.The Commissioner said the SMC would also coordinate with SSP Traffic to formulate an enforcement plan for better traffic management.“For now, we will introduce slip lanes and assess how traffic can be managed more effectively,” he added.
