Within the next two days, the Srinagar Smart City Limited (SSCL) is prepared to start the trial run of e-buses in Srinagar.
After 15 days, it is anticipated that over a dozen such vehicles will be operating on the city’s roadways.
Notably, the administration of Jammu and Kashmir has purchased 200 e-buses, 100 of which will go to each of the twin towns of Jammu and Srinagar.
Under the Smart City project, 200 e-buses with AC, heating, and CCTV are being purchased.
The e-buses will also have a computerised on-boarding station and live tracking, allowing passengers to track the arrival times of their bus.
Iftikhar Kakroo, the chief engineer of SSCL, announced that the e-bus trials will start in the next two days.(CNI)
