Vivek Bali, the state general secretary of the JDU, and Raj Kumar, the district president of Jammu, led a group that today met with Party President G M Shaheen to discuss organisational issues and to inform him of the challenges that many facets of the Jammu and Kashmiri society are experiencing.
The opposition of the community to the proposed reorganisation of the assembly constituencies was brought to the attention of the party president G M Shaheen by a delegation of senior leaders, led by Vivek Bali and Raj Kumar, who claimed that the recommendations lack logic and are harmful to voters in general and the community in particular.
G M Shaheen advised the delegations to increase the party’s mass outreach effort in order to strengthen it at the grassroots level. He claimed that regardless of caste, creed, geography, or religion, the Janata Dal United is a mass movement that has persevered through all of Jammu and Kashmir’s difficulties over the years and will continue to serve the people and work for a dignified existence for them.
