“We don’t have road connectivity even in the 21st century. We always suffer a lot. We the villagers on our own money did the earth cutting of the road from Gohinard to Poru on which we spend lakhs of money. We are so poor families, everyone sells their pet animals to make this temporary road path facility to the village. We have to pass through thick forests to reach the village either by foot or on horseback. The successive regimes deprived us of even basic facilities,” said Mohammad Lateef, a protester.

Protestors said that it is not only road connectivity that they don’t have, We have more problems in our village like we don’t have health facility or health center in our village, we do not have portable water supply in our village which as basic need of daily lives, said locals

It looks like we are not the citizens of any country, if it has been so then why no one is caring for us, why no one is listening to our problems , we are more than 300 households in this village said Manzoor Ahmad Bimla ,a local resident

The villagers appealed to the Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and DC Anantnag to intervene and redress their genuine demands as soon as possible. (CNI) Current News of India
