Amid a troubling surge in traffic violations, especially by teenage drivers, frequently resulting in tragic fatalities, the Traffic Department, under the leadership of SSP Traffic (Rural) Kashmir, R. P. Singh, launched an extensive accountability drive on Narbal Gulmarg Road. This campaign saw hundreds of traffic violators facing hefty penalties. The SSP was joined by DySP Mr Tariq Ahmad , adding strength to the mission.

The dedicated effort was extended to raise awareness about the dire outcomes of reckless driving among drivers. Notably, the initiative was planned to run for a minimum of one week, aiming to ensure that drivers were well-informed about the consequences of rash driving. In particular, parents of teenage boys were the focal point for educating them on traffic rules and regulations. The overarching goal remained the creation of safer road conditions and the prevention of further tragic incidents.(CNI) Current News of India
