Rajouri, Nov 02 KAYAKALP conducted an Assessment/Inspection by the team of experts from Government Medical College Rajouri led by Medical Superintendent Associated Hospital GMC Rajouri, Dr Mehmood Hussain Bajar on 30&31 October 2023 in SMGS Hospital, GMC Jammu
According to the News Agency Current News of India (CNI) the (KAYAKALP) is a National Initiative launched by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India on 15th May 2015 to ensure hygiene, sanitation and cleanliness in Public Health Facilities in the country.
KAYAKALP has several pillars, that pillars are: A- Hospital Facility Upkeep,
B- Sanitation & Hygiene, C- Waste Management,
D- Infection Control, E- Support Services, F- Hygiene Promotion, G- Patient Friendly Beyond Hospital Boundary and H- Eco-Friendly Hospital Environment.
KAYAKALP Initiative creates sustainable practices related to improved cleanliness in public health facilities linked to positive health.
KAYAKALP clean environment improves healing and fastens patient recovery, besides enhancing patient’s experience at health facility.
The winning health facilities are awarded under the program.(CNI)
