Srinagar, CNI :-Anand Jain, IPS, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Armed J&K, today visited the Armed Police Complex in Mattan, Anantnag, to review the functioning of the IRP 10th and IRP 17th Battalions stationed at the facility. He was accompanied by Shri Sheikh Junaid Mehmood, IPS, Deputy Inspector General, IRP Kashmir.
Upon his arrival, Shri Jain was given a ceremonial Guard of Honour by contingents from the IRP 10th and 17th Battalions. The visit included a detailed inspection of unit establishments and offices within the complex to assess operational readiness and infrastructure.
A special Darbar was convened during the visit, offering personnel a platform to voice their concerns related to service conditions and welfare. Shri Jain attentively listened to the issues raised and issued on-the-spot instructions to the concerned officers for immediate redressal. He further assured that all genuine grievances would also be addressed at the Armed Police Headquarters level.
Highlighting the importance of environmental responsibility, Shri Jain led a plantation drive during which saplings of Deodar and Chinar trees were planted within the premises. While addressing the Darbar, the ADGP praised the dedication and discipline of the force and encouraged active participation in ongoing refresher courses.
He emphasized the need for physical fitness, regular medical check-ups, and cleanliness across the complex. With the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2025 in focus, he stressed heightened vigilance and preparedness. Shri Jain also underscored the adoption of innovative practices in routine office procedures, advocating for the implementation of the e-Office system to promote a digital and paperless work environment.
