Following the induction of 27 JKPS officers into the IPS last week, the way has almost been cleared for the induction of 24 JKAS officers into the IAS. The Jammu and Kashmir government has responded to all inquiries from the Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) and Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), and a meeting is soon anticipated.
“The General Administration Department (GAD) is putting the finishing touches on the exercise for inducting 24 JKAS officials into the IAS. Numerous meetings have been held.
The names are now set in stone. Officials informed the leading newspaper that they had provided answers to all of the UPSC and DoPT’s inquiries about the officers.
They stated that a meeting is now anticipated to happen soon in New Delhi.
JKAS officers will be inducted into IAS for the second year in a row at this time. 16 JKAS officials were inducted into the IAS on August 4, 2022. On July 8, 2022, 28 JKAS officers were authorised for recruitment, but 11 of them were later withdrawn since eight had left the military, two had declined induction, one had passed away, and another’s fate was kept under wraps.
